The 4RUNNER has a cult following for the very reasons you consider old and outmoded. It hasn’t had any major changes for so long because it has been reviewed and optimized with any system that needs improvement brought up to standard. Long term reliability is excellent. Any bugs have been found and eliminated. Both design and manufacturing has been worked out for the long run. It can last for 20 years or more with recommend maintenance. In a few years when you have a larger experience with different vehicles you will see the merits of this manufacturing philosophy. Keep up the good work, you are doing just fine 😊

I was in the market for a 2023 Bronco, Rubicon, or 4runner.

I bought a 4runner

Anyone who complains about a 4Runners interior, lack of power/speed, this vehicle isn’t for you. I’d take a 4runner over a bronco or wrangler any day. Reliability and Simplicity at its finest. Sad to see this power train go away next year.

Good review. Not biased at all. Some of us love the 4Runner due to the simplicity of the controls and interior and don’t want all the new high tech stuff that’s in a lot of the new vehicles.

The 4Runner's weak power output is intentional, the car isn't designed to go fast, it's meant to go off road and to crawl. The simplicity of the interior design and controls is a moot point, the people who buy this don't care about that stuff. I understand the complaint about it, but to not address that it was intentional shows you didn't do basic surface level research on this vehicle and so your review shouldn't be "in-depth'.

If someone purchases the 4Runner it’s not for the interior. It’s for the reliability period. Bronco and Wrangler are not even in the same category as the 4Runner. Lol. No
Comparison in my opinion. You will not get 300-400k miles from a Bronco or Wrangler.

The predator steps are aluminum, not steel. And, the exhaust is on the right side if you really want to capture the sound.

More complexity more problems, therefore more cost. 4Runners are simple for the most part, thats why they run and run for a lifetime with proper care.

“A nice place to be”, you should coin that phrase, quality video as always, I especially liked the off road segment

I think you're too inexperienced and young and do not know what you do not know, as they say. 99.99% of those who actually buy this "GOAT", buy it for the reasons or comments you have not or can not even understand to even elaborate. Dated is good...Dated is reliable and young kids would love new technologies and latest and greatest until they realize they're at the bottom of the mountain looking at the tail of a 4Runner! Keep up the work on the new toys until they breakdown after a 100K miles! Good luck with that!

You are wrong about the front bumper being loose! I have that same vehicle and put that front nose of that truck under stresses that would crumple other vehicles. It is very sturdy and flexes where other materials would have simply bent or broke.

Missed the mark on this review. There is a reason why the 4Runner is loved by so many people. There is a reason it has survived in the harshest places on the planet. With age comes wisdom.

Do a gx460 if I ever get a chance last year of it this year

Thank you for helping me make up my mind; I wouldn't buy it either. Keep up the good work.

By this for off roading and buy a hellcat challenger for speed. Buy both 😎

But it has more than enough room to sleep in on road trips I'm thinking more than the competition.

There are workarounds to some of the issues mentioned, but the main one is both of the other vehicles you mentioned have reliability problems. On the other hand, none of them seem likely to catch fire in your garage. So that’s cool. 👍🤪🏳️‍🌈

May be dated, but it’s reliable and isn’t going to break down like a Jeep. You don’t get a 4runner for speed or the gas mileage.
