It's funny when he says things like "so what happened to you as a child that caused this?" Cause it just sounds so psychiatristy. Cutest relationship ever. I just love you guys. Also it's interesting that you need secure healthy attachments for the brain to properly develop.

It was suggested to me by my therapist that I might have this, and I relate to a lot of it, except not control issues, and "underdeveloped conscience, " if anything I have a very strong conscience. I also don't have anger issues and I avoid anger in general because it's just...unpleasant for me. People are mean when angry. But I do think I have never cared for any sort of closeness with my parents, my entire life. I have never sought comfort from them, indeed I feel aversive to being close to them. I don't want to be. I am completely avoidantly attached to them.
I have avoidant attachment with other people in my life as well, but I have insecure and anxious attachment within specific relationships.
