I am doing a 100% restoration and remodel on my mansion that was purchased for $7,000. Today I discovered I have a swamp under my house, so I dug a massive trench to drain it.

Roman is such a calming and soft spoken entity in these videos. I appreciate him.

You should be replacing the gas line .

Cole, after 23 years of business as a window coverings specialist, I have seen my share of stadium style movie theater rooms in high end houses. In every single one of them, there was always a layer of dust on everything from lack of the room being used. Not once did I hear someone say, ”We use this every WEEK!” They are a huge waste of time and money. That being said, you will have a very swanky tornado shelter when it’s finished.

WAIT, so if Roman dug the water carrying trench, does that make it a Roman Aquaduct??? lol

Replace the gas line. with all the handling it has received, you cannot guarantee it does not have a hole in it or it has weakened and will break later.

Also put a pipe down and run the gas line INSIDE it for more protection.

Cole, loving this project. Just speaking as a heavy civil GC, please put a ladder in your excavation that extends 3 feet higher than the top of the excavation. If you do have a cave in with no ladder, you will have no way out quickly

It is just amazing. You two guys, by yourself, moving all this dirt, figuring out all the implications of the water table and the drain, etc, etc. Holy cow!! 🐄🐄🐄

Hello from Ohio I am a 13 year old boy and I have been showing cows for three years the one thing I have for you Cole is make sure he doesn't step on your foot and make sure you have steal toe on.

You should leave the foundation wall as an exposed wall and figure out a way to seal the wall. I think that would be really cool, especially walking into an underground movie theater.

Looking good and you are learning so much and I Love that you share it. Never too old to learn and get educated on the wonderments of construction, water levels and the like.
You and Roman are really kicking it and getting to things that could be huge setbacks if you don't tend to them now.
I admire the work ethics shown and Roman is one amazing fellow. I would love to know his working background and how he learned to do all he find it totally interesting. He ads so much calm and that really helps when things get going sideways. His personality and calm attitude are very much an asset.
Be safe, take care and waiting for the next video. 🙂

Abandon the gas line. It's probably too small for your updated heating system. The time wasted saving it (twice) would have paid for the new line.

I love this build, all the twists and turns, frequency of uploads. Does anyone ever take on a project themselves and then only finish it 95% because the enjoyed the process so much that they didn't want it to end?

yes it is very good hearing Roman's calm, considerate pleasant voice.
He has no need to yell, explode, propel, nor detonate his words into air.
