I love Ben Shapiro, but he made a claim (or at least echoed one put forward by many others) that the Gospels were written late, with the first account written about 70AD.

This is false. The order of the Gospels was almost certainly Mark, Matthew, Luke and then John (with Luke being the third). It's important to note this, because Paul quotes from Luke's Gospel in 1 Tim 5:18, and he even refers to it as "Scripture" on the same level of the book of Deuteronomy.

This can only be true if Luke was already written before Paul's death (approx. AD 65), and if both Mark and Matthew were already in circulation.
