I read about a certain Schommer, U.S Army. the likes of Josh Scandal. He got a Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally distinguished service during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His Iraq experience helps him now in dealing with the grind of daily volatility in tough stock markets — and those big gulp moments.

Ivory tower theorists have nothing in common with Thomas Sowell. He not only is a thinker, but he is anchored in reality and good sense. That is, his intelligence is actually useful and constructive. Probably because he observes more and leaves imagination only where it belongs.

I totally agree with Doctor Sowell. I address the topic of the myth of human equality in a book I am about to publish and point out, as he does, that there is no such thing. It is amazing how people believe what they want to believe.

Actually Maine averages two tornadoes a year. The reason you don't hear about them is that they tend to be smaller, and short lived. Plus, Maine is a sparsely populated state, and there hasn't been a lot of damage or injuries.

I'll tornado proof a house that uses the winds to power the house and cars as the weather goes by.
