Running an i7-3520M CPU with Intel HD Graphics 4000 with drivers as of 22 Oct 2016 doing everything here got me running except that I had to turn Compatibility Mode *off* to get the game to open. Great video, and extremely helpful having the necessary utility available via a link in the video description. Thanks muchly!

Thank you for posting this! I will definitely check the fix later today and give a feedback, because I'm still experiencing problems with launching the game.

Hi!
I did everything just like you did in your video, but the problem still occurs. The launcher pops up, but when I hit the play button it's just closes itself. Do you or anyone else have any solutions in mind? I really wanna play Fallout 4 already. Thanks! :)

Hey, I appreciate the video, but my directX Control Panel doesn't have the bottom lines in it, is there anything I'm missing here?

Have to say im impressed!!! It worked for me with the smallest resolution (havent tried largest) but in borderless window mode pretty much ran my on 10.0 instead of 11.0 and did force warp also my only problem was super low FPS!! But holy crap this gives me hope! I am so happy *will be more so when i run atleast 30-40fps and can actually enjoy it* Thank you so much! Im going to experiment and let you know what happens!

For me works this instruction on Surface Pro 2 (i5-4300U Intel HD 4400):

1.Ensure your drivers are up to date.
2.Open the Start menu. Type "dxcpl". Open that program.
3.Click "Edit list".
4.Find the Fallout 4 .exe file (NOT THE LAUNCHER). If you need to, you can go to your Steam library, right-click on Fallout 4, click "Properties", click "Local Files", then click "Browse Local Files" to find the correct path
5.Add the .exe to the list.
6.Click OK. At the bottom of the window, set "Feature level limit" to "11_1".
7.Enable Force WARP.
8.Hit "Apply", then OK.
9.Open Fallout 4. In the Launcher, go to settings and check "Windowed" and "No Border" or whatever it is.
10.Enjoy!

Looks like the Build 4300 drivers won't be coming out for us Ivy Bridge HD 4000 owners (Core i3-3110m here) but setting the DX version to 11_0 did enable me to run the game.

Okay time to edit my reply since I'm on a different computer: It doesn't work for me. Just that simple. I followed the steps to a "T" and it just keeps crashing. Don't know what else to say.
