Rami Malek is getting a ton of praise for his portrayal of Queen’s Freddie Mercury in the musical biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (and rightfully so). Malek perfectly captures the essence of the Queen frontman all the way up to his legendary performance in the Live Aid concert. But does the movie meet the standard of Rami Malek’s performance, or do justice to Freddie Mercury? What’s up with the major changes to the story? How come the timeline is all out of whack? Why doesn’t the band meet any challenges on their road to international success? To answer these questions and more, step inside the pitch meeting that led to Bohemian Rhapsody! It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience.

"We're essentially gonna recreate some Queen performances and sprinkle some lies in between" lmao

We're going for "Inglorious Basterds" levels of historical accuracy here.

Freddie should have also fought crime and been able to fly.

The idea that someone thought Walk Hard was a real biopic and used its outline to create Bohemian Rhapsody is frighteningly believable.

"Super easy, barely an inconvenience" is by now my new favorite line.
Too bad that I live in Germany and:
"Super leicht, noch nicht mal wirklich umständlich"
Just doesn't hit the same way.

I’m not even sure if Queen was actually real at this point.

You would think that hearing the phrase, “super easy, barely an inconvenience” would eventually get old...but it doesn’t. It just gets funnier each time. 😂

"You're on my back and I'd love for you to get off of it"

The pure passive aggressive snark here is just so lovely.

That "get off of my back thing" is freaking genius

Sounds less like a biopic and more like historical fiction.

I think this is the first ever "get off my back" line ever. Discovering the born of an iconic catch frase is Tight!

Best one: in the movie, they labeled the "We Will Rock You"-scene with "1980"... the song that is on "News of the World" - from 1977...
Why? Just why? :-)
