International Students of Islamic Psychology Family and Cultural Trauma Sub Taskforce of Trauma/Healing Taskforce hosted a lecture of How to Cope with Anxiety Due to Family and Cultural Trauma Using Islamic Psychology Interventions on Friday 30th August, 2024. The speaker was Sr Sayema Zulfeqar.

This session was conducted in english and included engaging audiences questions and answers.

Speaker: Sayema Zulfeqar is a Counselor and Director of Afiyah Counsel and Care, currently based in Metro Vancouver. She holds a dual bachelors, masters degree in Psychology, and recently graduated with a postgraduate diploma in Islamic Psychology from the Cambridge Muslim College. Sayema has authored numerous articles on Muslim mental health and is an author of an award-winning published paper on psychological resilience in Islamic contexts.
