Did you know there are 3 types of tears? Reflex, Continuous, and Emotional
Crying can be a helpful release when we are sad, angry, or anxious. Although we cry when we experience these feelings and other associated “negative” emotions, many people cry when they are happy, stressed, or even when they laugh. Emotional Tears can be the most beneficial to our health because they flush stress hormones from our bodies and toxins from our systems. Research shows that crying releases oxytocin and endogenous opioids, which are both endorphins. So let yourself cry, but seek help if crying starts to affect your daily life.
