What topics should you discuss in your first mentoring session? Are there any 'rules' that both mentor and mentee should follow? How does the mentoring relationship progress over time? What are the mentee’s responsibilities?

This webinar, presented by Dr Amy Iversen, Visiting Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry and Director of Håbe Consulting, was hosted on 10 November 2015, will answer these questions and more regarding your first mentoring meeting. Amy is a former Academy mentee and an experienced mentoring scheme coordinator and coach.

This webinar provides an overview of key points that mentees and mentors should consider in their first meeting, and how to establish and manage expectations.

I'm retired and looking for something useful to do. I come from a background of finance/marketing/operations and have a diploma in counselling as well as accounting degree and MBA. I am only looking for pocket money. I found your webinar very clear and very useful. How can I dip my toe to be a mentor or coach?

Jeez, I was really enjoying this til the sexist remark that for females it can be easier to do video calls because they can put the kids to bed. What the huh?? She might have corrected herself but what even is that worldview in this day and age.

First of all assuming that women are the ones who have to look after kids, but also assuming that women even have kids.

God, I would have know this was sexist at the age of seven. You know, over 25 years ago. Far out.
