Refining Saw Setting Pliers.

Firstly forgive me! I kept saying "anvil" when I meant to say "hammer" 🤦‍♂️

Anyway! That aside, it's not unusual to find a saw set that has a hammer too broad for small teeth. It's very simple, take it to bits and refine the hammer with a file. Less than 10 min gets you sorted.

Don't sweat if you take off a little too much off the hammer. There's a lot of wriggle room for adjustment.

Did this on my Eclipse with the brass body, but anvil is so hard had to use diamond stone. Trick is you want to keep it even as possible so it is centered. Makes it easier to use.

Hey mate, this has nothing to do with a saw set by the way thought I'd ask, I'm a level 2 bench joiner at college. Trying get my head round 345 method with trammels for drawing square for making doors e.t.c. figured as your a fellow joiner you could help. Reckon you could do a quick vid on it maybe? I understand the concept of finding right angles with the 345 method but can never understand actually drawing a square with a trammel bar. Cheers 👌

You do know that the version with the red inside is dedicated for higher tooth counts?
