Lithium Motorcycle Battery vs Lead Acid

When I bought my CRF450L I got a discount on old inventory. The bike was 13 months old at the date of delivery. I have wondered if because of the age did my Lithium battery suffer from sitting so I decided to compare the battery in our CRF110 to the lithium one in my bike. I just opened a lithium battery on my KTM. It had an interrmittant starting fault that the dealers couldnt find. They didnt think a rattling battery was a bit odd but it definately was odd to me so i opened it up and found the battery posts are secured to the cell straps by nuts which were secured with a dab of sillicone. The earth had fallen off and the positive was loose as well.

I'm into RC helicopters and have a multi- chemistry charger as well. I was wondering what you use for settings without have the balance port? Do you use a 4s setting and then disable the balance port lead in charger settings? Thank you and safe riding to you and your family.

I just opened my 2020 CRF450R battery. The top portion of the battery that's larger (when compared to the 110 Lead) is the housing for the Battery Management System (BMS). It's a pretty cool wireless design. I still don't think it's worth what they're asking for retail when you can do 18650's yourself for $40

How about starting the 450 with the 110 battery? Maybe the 110 battery is good enough, cheaper and only 1 lb heavier.

So the advantage of a led acid is it discharges faster. Well thats handy. I hate a battery that has power in it.

How is 7.4v holding a higher voltage vs 12v motorcycle batteries ?

I'm thinking about installing Oxford heated grips and was'nt sure the battery was up to it, could i still install these?

You cannot use Lithium ion batteries as a replacement to a lead acid battery because they have a specific charging system (Battery Management System or BMS) different from the latter. R/C modelers, battery powered tool users, are among the people who are familiar with these battery's charateristics. Although they have advantages over the old lead-acids in terms of weight, long life (if proper handled), self discharge, etc. One danger is that they have a tendency to explode overcharged, heard about cellphones and laptops catching fire while charging?

Will it hurt the bike if i put a acid filled battery in place of the garbage lithium

Well my bike is bran new 2020 and it wont start it tic tic tic i hate these batteries i want to put the regular acid battery in the bike and the factory battery in my 2020 crf 450L takes days to charge and it dont charge i HATE THESE BATTERIES

THEN WHY AM I NOT CHANGING THE ALTERNATOR AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR ON MY BIKE (THAY ARE FOR LED ACID )

the BMS ( Battery Management System ) in the lithium battery dose this for us !!!
please do not give out False info . the battery is made at the factory as a direct replacement (hens the name "motorcycle" battery) for a led acid battery
AND "DOSE NOT REQURE A special CHARGER" !!
