I just got my first taco! She's an 06 one owner in amazing condition. High miles (300k) but the chassis was replaced and pretty much everything else. In my eyes it's a brand new truck considering how crazy reliable the engines are. I'm amazed at all the mods you can do for these to keep up with modern times. I can't wait to upgrade everything.

Thank you so much for your video i started to buy a steering wheel too but it was 300 plus tax so i went to a local salvage yard and i found a steering wheel air bag and the controls
It was only 35 dollars and i swapped it in less than 15 minutes i added axxes harness and made a pionner DMH 160-BT work great once again thank you so much

Looks great in theory! I added the controls to my 2005 Toyota Tacoma, had to buy the modified airbag, original airbag wasn't for controls, and NOW had to change out the clock spring!
original clock spring didnt support stereo controls. I have the ASWC harness from Crutchfield and another harness to match my exsisting wires to a Kenwood stereo. All going in this week! Cant

My 04 Highlander also comes pre wired. My local junkyard unfortunately doesn’t let you take airbags so I’ll have to try and sneak one out.

Good job! I used this video to "downgrade" my leather wheel to a vinyl wheel. Rim is thicker and it is more rugged which suits my needs.

Now time to test the airbag! Just kidding, thanks for this video. Will definitely be doing this mod to my truck.

It’s always great when the wiring is already done at the factory.

Tip: The “Mode” button is also a “Power On/Off” button. Press and Release to Power On. Press and Release to cycle through. Press and Hold to Power Off.

Thanks for this! Just did this with my 2007 Sequoia. The only problem now is my airbag light is on. The wheel and controls work fine, any idea what could he going on? 🤔

On my 2005 Tundra SR5, I have to unplug the cruise control and plug the volume button connector in. They bout use the same connector location. Did you run into this? I suppose I could re-pin or trace or splice the wires. Any ideas? Thanks

Do you know if this can be done with a Series 100 Land Cruiser? Specifically, adding the buttons and airbag from a 2002 - 06 Land Cruiser to the steering wheel of a 1998 or 1999 Land Cruiser - and having the volume and control buttons work with an after-market Alpine double DIN head unit?

Could you plead upload the link from where you bought it, cause on ebay they usually sell the steering wheel but incomplete with no airbags
