DIY Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Install

Learn how to install a carbon fiber steering wheel that keeps the stock airbag. This was done on a C5 Corvette but you can do this on any vehcile! This is a safe alternative to an aftermarket quick release steering wheel that has no airbag just in case you drive the car on the street.

For those interested, I think this steering wheel is from ZenCarbonFiber. Not sure if he ever says it anywhere, but they make very similar wheels. All of them are custom.

I love that you got a wheel with the Airbag instead of an airbag delete. It doesn’t look that good but my life has literally been saved by an Airbag

You can also either remove battery terminals and press the brake pedal a few times to drain system or once terminals removed touch terminals together also draining system
And with removing steering wheel without a puller set, leave bolt in a few turns and pull on the steering wheel as the bolt will stop it flying off and hitting you in the face
