I showed this to my accelerated math class of 7th graders and they noticed that the triangle proposed in the first example is not actually a triangle... it's a line. The dimensions were 8, 12, and 20, and due to the Triangle Inequality Theorem, the smaller two sides have to add up to a larger number than the largest side. Therefore, 8 + 12 must be greater than 20, and it's not : D We did love your video, just noticed the small error. Thanks for the funny approach to math.

Good info on this video. However, one of my students pointed out that the "bermuda triangle" measurements are not actually possible. (The 2 smaller sides equal the 3rd side, but the 3rd side needs to be larger than the 3rd side.) But thanks for keeping the material interesting with good graphics. :-) Thanks! The 12-8-20 triangle in the first example cannot be a triangle...12 + 8 must be greater than the third side, which is 20. This "triangle" falls flat.
