Just getting into backcountry skiing or splitboarding? We have 4 tips that will help you save energy, and get better traction on the skin track.
Learning doesn't need to be a slow hard process of trial and error.
Tip #1: Slide your feet. Don't lift them each step.
Tip #2: Keep your chest up and hips forward for better traction.
Tip #3: Use your risers when the track gets steep to keep the weight on your heels
Tip #4: Find traction on a sidehill by setting your own track or finding a way to engage more of your skins to the snow.
