In today's video we conduct a tabletop look at the @sigsauerinc P320 AXG Pro. So far, this is my favorite pistol from the AXG line. I took it to the range for some first impressions but something happened to the memory card and I lost the footage. I will film more at the range for the full review which is in the works. What are your thoughts on it? Thank you for stopping by and God Bless.

Just bought this firearm and this is a phenomenal design. Very accurate right out of the box. If you can afford it go out and buy it. Multi purpose. Tactical, home defense and competition. Definitely worth the price. My one and only gripe is for the price it should come with 3 magazines instead of 2.

Nice review as always! I created this version before Sig put this out. (Mix and match parts from Sig) It's by far my favorite setup. Gives me that old feel of the Classic Line P226. Shame I can't break down, put together anymore thanks to YouTube.

I had just built the same pistol a few months before this was released. Cost me way more to build it than it is to buy one from the store. Few difference I did was Like grips, skeletonized flat trigger, fluted match barrel, and installed the Romeo 1 pro. Absolutely love how it feels and shoots. The best 320 I've ever shot. Worth the price.

Really enjoy this gun! For some reason this trigger is better on this gun than my X5. For the price I was hoping for a better case and three mags! This is still one of the best Sigs to date!

Another great review! This is definitely the coolest AXG so far.
My P320 AXG Scorpion is still tucked away unfired.

I had just purchased the P320 AXG Pro today and can’t wait to get my hands on it. Thanks for the quick review, all the more reason I wish it was in hand 😂

Glad to see you are enjoying the gun. Sig was disappointing you for a bit with their customer service and quality. Encouraging to see that you are still giving them a chance. I just bought the staccato c. Thank to you and other Youtube reviewers, I was able to look past the price point and enjoy both the c and c2 firearms. Keep up the nice reviews!

Just got mine and so far I really like it. Classic 22x feel and good trigger.

My only knock on the 320 is working outside and sweating all day regardless if you get a kydex holster and a MAG carrier it will corrode. So this pistol is only good for winter carry for summer carry I carry my m&P 2.0 compact because it has nitrated magazines that don't rust

Finally, a 320 that isn’t plastic. But I’m not a buyer. I have 226 and 229 Legions in 9mm, and 220 Legion in 45, so why in the world do I need another 9 mm Sig. how about making a 365 Legion? This AGX line is just another revenue stream for Sig, and the “collectors” will no doubt buy one, but do you really NEED one? Great video as usual.

Hey! Great review. Please note this is not a custom works gun. Simply a standard offering. That’s why it has no markings.

It should have come with suppressor hight sights for the red dot

Nice review as usual. I like the RMR direct mount metal grip and weight. I'm not a huge fan of slide cuts.

A nice Sig indeed. Thanks for the review!

It’s weird that the AXG Pro is not a Custom Works gun. I have the Scorpion and it’s great. But this gun is just the AXG grip module with a Pro Series slide. You can literally build this gun from a regular P320 just by buying the components.

I have this pistol and you do need a plate for the RMR. I have an RMR mounted on mine with the appropriate height sights for co-witness. FYI the factory front sight is a pain to remove.

I impulse bought this pistol based on look and feel as my first entry into the Sig P320 modular system and I’m glad I did, but not because I’m shooting this pistol as configured anymore . This purchase led my down the Sig P320/FCU wormhole and now I’m a firm believer in the system. I really liked the removable grip panel option with the AXG and I installed some gray Lok Veloce palm swells and a R1Pro- even more comfortable in the hand and a really great looking rig.
But, as a relatively capable competition shooter with competency in multiple striker fired platforms, steel SA and DA/SA pistols, I thought I should be shooting the AXG Pro better ? So I picked up a P80, Wilson Combat and then finally a TXG grip module without the grip weight. After multiple range sessions comparing the grips, using the same slide, RDS and FCU in timed repeatable full speed drills, the winning grip was the TGX followed by the P80, Wilson Combat and, unfortunately, the AXG last.
The grip shape of the P80 or TXG work better for my large hand size and trigger reach, as well as having a more muted recoil impulse than the AXG alloy frame.
Out of curiosity, I’ve ordered an Armory Craft Brass black Cerakoted back strap insert to replace the G10 Lok insert to see how the added weight changes the shooting characteristics of the AXG module. But, from a high performance level I don’t think any striker fired gun can match the engineering that Sig put into the TGX grip module.
So, the testing takeaway is that the AXG Pro is a very cool offering and shoots well but IMO it’s not the apex of Sig striker fired performance - that still resides with the Legion X5 /P320 Max TXG equipped variants or, in my case, a Franken variant.
The slide look is polarizing ( as per the Sigtalk forum lol !), and is supposedly the same weight as a regular P320 FS slide but I’m assuming that the weight balance with an RD installed improves high speed return to zero. But IMO, I think it’s both good looking and functional. The Pro cut slide as outfitted has a great direct mount multi optic system and with a Romeo 1 Pro, the irons will co-witness somewhat. The iron sights provided are more suited for defensive work than competition but with an RDS installed the slide is great for matches if using standard factory loads . For comp tuned reloads, the X5 Legion slide with the non-captured 1911 springs would probably be the preference.
Interestingly, as Mpolo describes, some
targetedcustomized metal reliable, very fast and accurate competition pistol and I can still reconfigure it back to the classy AXG look in seconds. With very little comparative practice time, I slapped some Talon tape on the TXG and went out and immediately won a match overall with it.
( I’m late to the X series P320 party so some of this may be redundant praise for some folks
But one note:
IMO, the Sig “high bore axis” is not a thing - as I configured it, with my index, my P320 shoots very much like my well tuned 1911 and that’s just a fine thing )

The downside of sigs the magazines will rust if you sweat all over them on hot muggy day. Also the magwell will prevent doublefeeds to be cleared. Also during hot sunny day gun gets very hot

I looked at this and the Equinox..went with the latter since I wanted a shorter barrel
