Jordan Peterson: the stupid person’s intellectual.

Christ; how did Peterson ever come to be considered an intellectual? My mediocre college professors were more profound than this guy

If you disagree with him his just calls you a marxist or whatever buzzword he feels like using that week. Peterson is a joke.

Jordan just wants to be special, to be validated in his belief that he is so wonderful. He has no value outside of that.

what even is Jordun Pooterson's point? "some things are higher than others so that means God exists!" Like, what? Some people like certain things more than others. Its not that profound.

Isn't it about time for Peterson to enter another hibernation, i.e. drug induced coma?

There are so many more intelligent conversations to be had, people just entertain Peterson for the ratings and clicks.

If the most important things were so profound, why does our society tend to overlook those things in favor of instant gratification.

What about the opportunity to have JP to shake it in front of you Higher or lower than a convo with him?

I litteraly do not understand jordo's thought processes here. You don't believe in god so therefore you can't declare something greater or lesser?
Like what? How does one get to that?

Man those benzos really did a number on him

Some of the most mundane things of lesser importance can produce some of the most profiund of realizations.

Somebody tell JP that it's more than OK to be an atheist. Like Tony the Tiger used to say, 'It's GREAT!' You don't have to sit around arguing with religiots about the meanings of things in the bloody bible, since the only things in the bible that actually have meaning come from conventional wisdom in the first place.

What about jiggly butt teleportation vs. Having a conversation with the ghost of
Christopher Hitchens?

JP's core assumption seems to be that everything exists in a clearly definable hierarchy, and that colors the way he talks about things.

I think it's silly, but it makes understanding him a *tiny* bit easier if you assume that's how he thinks.

That's not much though. He's very good at burying his message under way too many words.

Yeah submerging my head in the vast infinity of Instagram thirst will always be better than the Red Pill.

"Why are there greater and lesser things?" Lets answer this too literally, because I'm an asshole: Because Peterson, I need water to live, not a guitar. But I do like both. If I was in the desert and had the choice of a canteen of water or play the super rare guitar, I'm picking the water, buddy.

This is the type of question that sounded better in his head, didn't it?

Water is more important to me than a thought provoking story like Dune, but I wouldn’t say that water is more profound than Dune!

I'm sick of Jordan Beeee. Peterson saying that a religious(most likely being a Christian because he's him) person has more profound, richer lives than atheists.

This reminds me of Mill’s hedonistic utilitarianism in which he distinguishes between pleasures of the flesh and those of the mind. Supposedly, pleasures of the mind such as contemplating philosophy or mathematics are of a ‘greater’ quality than simple pleasures of eating, sex etc. The main objection is that this seems inconsistent and completely subjective. There is no particular reason that one should prefer to contemplate philosophy after a long days work over relaxing and eating a chocolate bar. The idea that intellectual endeavours should be valued as ‘greater’ than pleasures of the flesh might on the surface seem to be true, but ultimately does not seem to be the case in every day life.
