I have Gopro7... totally happy with it. Dji did a great job with front screen and stabilization. However anyone looking for action cam I think they should wait for what gopro8 offer which is not far away.

The importance of that more responsive touch screen and better menus cannot be overstated. I was on a shoot with 3 Gopros and changing settings on set was an absolute nightmare. The menu on this looks great.

Thank you for this. One of the better comparison videos I've seen. I was a GoPro hero 3 user and am currently in the market looking between DJI and GoPro. Your t-shirt is gray in the DJI footage but bulish in the GoPro. Which is it? Currently leaning to DJI after your video.

I'm new to action cameras and this may seem like a stupid question but does the DJI have all the same connectability as the gopro, as in, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the apps for controlling with your phone and editing app like gopro's "quick" app? I just bought a hero 7 black and it is a defective unit so I'm going to return it and now I'm thinking about getting the DJI or maybe just wait on the hero 8. Idk yet. Your reply would be much appreciated✌ thanks in advance.

Great work! One of the best, and most thorough comparisons I've seen. The only other thing I can think of for comparison is the actual device apps. And I would guess the GoPro would win in a landslide there (integrated social sharing, live streaming, etc).

Can I connect Audio Video transmitter toDJI Osmo Action to use it as FPV for my drone?

We have been avid GoPro supporters for years, BUT a major thing to understand, the Hero 7 is majorly flawed. Ours crashes ALL THE TIME, and we thought we must have a duff camera.

It turns out many of our friends and people on the net have the same issue. People say you need to use a small SD card so the GoPro can process the data, as a large SD card holds too much data for the camera to process (which isn't correct, but even if it was, you would think using the latest tech in 2019 by the pioneers of the action cam, surely this couldn't be possible).

We have lost countless clips of footage of dangerous stunts as the GoPro kept freezing, which then requires the battery to be removed or the power button to be pressed for 7 seconds to reboot it.

We won't touch GoPro again, and will be using DJI or another brand.

Did I forget the audio 🤦‍♂️ There are tests with credible YouTubers showing how the HERO 4's audio is far superior.

Shame you you GoPro, for not resolving such a major flaw with your latest state of the art tech, and for not improving on a model made many years back.

Nice video 👍👍 I'm going for the Osmo Action, love that front screen and the menu looks a lot better, colors looked more realistic as well, GoPro is more flashy and contrasted. I preffer having a more "flat" image and play with colors on the computer.

What is the next step up in sensor size from these tiny 1/2.3 (I think that's right) sensors used in this genre of action cam? Is there something larger (both physically and in sensor size) that is out there? I don't necessarily want an interchangeable lens camera, but maybe that's part of this step up in size and performance? Thanks for any information.

I've had the gopro 5, 6 and 7 black. 5 and 6 had issues freezing etc. 7 has had no problems. Works perfect. Also made sure you use a high quality micro sd card. One of mine 128gb had a problems but my other 128gb works perfect everytime.
