I had no idea I was supposed to be doing this, I rinsed my seeds and I thought that was sufficient

Hi I'm glad I found your video I was in the supermarket and I almost bought alfalfa sprouts but I can't because I have kidney disease I put them back on the Shelf I was wondering if vinegar would kill the E coli and the salmonella and the other bacteria thank you for posting this because it confirms and next time I can buy sprouts❤

Do you have to sanitize seeds to avoid any risk of contamination?

Just searched about vinegar and hydrogen peroxide combo and wouldn't recommend it. "it's important not to mix hydrogen peroxide and vinegar together. Hydrogen peroxide is known to react with vinegar to create peracetic acid, which is a toxic substance that can irritate your eyes, skin, or lungs."

If this is food you'll eat, why wouldn't you use food grade hydrogen peroxide? I use a 3% food grade version for my homemade toothpaste.
