Aliceara (Beallara) Diana Dunn 'Gothic' - an orchid in disguise

preview_player
Показать описание
The Beallara Diana Dunn is a cross between Bratonia Citron and Oncidium Memoria Helen Scholle. The Gothic variety has larger spots on the petals, although sometimes the flowers might just remain pink. Like most Beallaras, it has that spicy sharp fragrance which might not be pleasant for some, but it is interesting :) Enjoy!

That is just gorgeous! Love the enormous spider-like flowers!
You have a lot to answer for, Danny. I now have a full trolley with Schwerter thanks to watching your videos. One day I might even pay for it :)

It's crazy, the colors and sizes of blooms they come up with with the intergeneric orchids.  They grow so fast too...beautiful.

Hi, Dani.
This is John. I haven't commented in a long time because I had a big problem with my youtube account and couldn't log in. My previous youtube name (if you remember) was poisondekara.
Anyway, I'm back with a new name and it feels good to be able to communicate again.
All your new orchids are beautiful.
And since I couldn't log in since before January 1st, I haven't had the chance to say "happy new year"
So, happy new year and now that spring is near "happy growing season 2015".

I do like these orchids as well the flowers are large oncidium style flowers and you said they don't require as much light as Oncidiums ? Is it more like Phalenopsis light for these guys ?

Such a beautiful plant! Once I get my others to rebloom (if I don't kill them first lol), I might try these.
BTW, are you still using the Fucus products? I bought it a few weeks ago and I'm so new to this orchid bug, that I'm unsure if it helps.
Also, because you love the Miltoniopsis and Miltonias that I bought one from eBay. Its a noid and not in bloom but the plant looks really healthy. Nina

All of your oncidium intergenerics make me want to get some myself! Have you considered breeding some of yours?

I just saw this plant at my local nursery in Bloom but it was potted in all sphagnum moss, so I'm not sure if I should buy it. Should it have some bark in the pot?
