I think the only good thing about this car is the fact, it has at least 1 gear change and the fact it does not use single pedal driving. There are arguments out there that single pedal driving is no better for efficient driving.

I enjoyed listening to your review of the Porsche Taycan EV. Your overview was informative.

The next time you review a Porsche I suggest you spend less time telling us about the second row, which we know is too small and cramped for the most part.

Instead, tell us about the driver’s and the passenger’s front seat positions: tell me about their comfort levels, the materials selected, the mechanisms/modes on the front door, and the size, shape, and functionality of the Porsche’s software platform (UI) which the driver interacts with as s/he drives the Taycan into and out of various driving conditions. How easily can the driver interact with the screens/monitors as she drives w/o having to take his eyes off the road unnecessarily?

I have the E-tron GT which is the sister car, it's superb and as you say cramped in the rear, but i don't care because i'm in the front, i am considering the updated Taycan as it's replacement considering all the improvements, unless something else comes along such as the Boxster EV...

I have a 22 Taycan CT4 and have the following criticisms:
- The headlights don’t have washers (even on the matrix version).
- The swiping function to open the charge flap is annoying, because your fingers get dirty and the thing also tends to open when washing the car.
- The interior is hugely flawed. The lack of space is one thing, but many other things are annoying. It’s difficult to get into the car. The door open8ngs are small and the b pillar is very far forward. The center storage is really difficult to open. The vents are adjusted on a menu on a screen. Why? Everything is on a touch screen and makes it distracting when doing simple things like choosing a radio station. The glove compartment is tiny. The boot doesn’t have a fold away parcel shelf and the shelf doesn’t fit in the car when removed. The partition net is a whole separate unit and is difficult to use and doesn’t work well.
I miss my g31 bmw :(

I have a 2020 4S and agree it is fantastic- by far the best I have ever owned and I have owned 17 Porsches and a 56 Packard 400. Thanks for a very thorough review! When you do your charge test can you please find out if charging is limited to 200kw on a 400v machine even if that charger puts out more than 200kw like the original Taycan. Thanks!

It's a great car especially after the facelift. Missing proper Regen and the price is a bit of a showstopper 😂

But I already miss it after handing it back. 😢

Two notes. Almost 5 meter car and it looks small.... Quality interior....if you compare this with the G9 I think the G9 looks well above in terms of materials ( I know these are different cars but I am comparing the quality of the interior materials).
