Good god this just made get the slap in the face realization of how much of a nightmare scenario the Shelly De Killer case was. Literally everything that could have went wrong DID go wrong, and without the combined efforts of the entire cast at the time the real killer would have never been found. God AA Is such a cool franchise

I love the different ways Miles and Phoenix fall. When Miles is in freefall, he's hunched in on himself, as though even when he's falling and wildly out of control, there's still part of him that's trying to protect himself and his heart. When Phoenix falls, his chest/heart is out and exposed, the way he often lives his life. Brilliant detail.

I love how it's such an well-known thing that even without being able to read Japanese, I was still able to identify that one sentence:

I love how the ending basically implies that Phoenix and Miles will always be by each other's side, since Phoenix wakes up from a nightmare and Miles is still there to pull him out of it

This is so awesome. Love at 2:35 how Phoenix goes in the direction of the hands, with acceptance, instead of getting surprised and trying to escape. It really shows his mental health during that phase in the story.

This is so beautiful! So heartfelt, and the progression of the storyboard is so on point! The drawings themselves are heart-wrenchingly gorgeous. Breaks my heart and glues it back together at the same time.

The arms grabbing Miles from behind and then the arms from the radio pulling Phoenix, it's chilling and I love it. The frame where Phoenix flickered into Gregory hurt my heart. The expressions, poses, the characters, this is stunning!

I love how expressive their faces are and you have really captured the grief and guilt in Miles through the symbolisms too. I also love how everything was colored in the end where they're finally both happy.

Especially how well it syncs up at “this is real life” and you can see Mia’s spirit briefly and Godot across and then it cuts to a disgraced Phoenix facing off against Kristoph. Ahhh!
