i recently finished playing the ace attorney trilogy for the first time, and the last game's case really shook me to my core!! i wanted to make an illustration, but i felt like nothing would do justice to how it made me feel, so i guess i ended up making an animation?? HAHAHAHA anyway, i'm still figuring out how to animate and all, so here's to hoping i find my style !!!

I actually really like how Dahlia's shadow loomed over Trials and Tribulations. It's actually scary how effective of a manipulator she is, and whenever I think the Ace Attorney series, she's the character that sticks out in my head.

I'm almost embarrassed how long it took me to figure out some of those scenes behind the handclaps. Between Pearl reading Morgan's instructions, Phoenix falling from the bridge into the river, and the jagged line behind Edgeworth being a seismograph

OH MY GOD.
I would have never thought to put this song with Ace Attorney, but it fits dalia sO PERFECTLY. I love the part where it's like she's squashing them like bugs, but it could also be seen as her clapping as if it's so easy for her to succeed at manipulation. that look in mias eyes, the moment she finally takes down diego, the transitions, the way its like parts of her are always looming, oh my stars I don't have enough words this is just so incredibly cool

I absolutely LOVE how well this captures Dahlia's character. She's always been one of the most notable and iconic villains in the series (Arguably the most iconic) and the fact she manipulated everyone she ever knew, even from beyond the grave, fits the song choice perfectly.

For those not well versed in Vocaloid, Mind Brand is a song about an abusive, manipulative relationship and covers both sides of the relationship, the manipulator and the victim. Though the song implies a male manipulator, the song still fits Dahlia To-A-T.
