For most of my youth i believed i was weak and innately vampiric and a bad person, but all those years i was just burnt out. Since childhood, before even grasping my individuality.

I’m a therapist and I suffered from burnout before. Took me two full years to get back my whole (old) self! So now I really prioritize taking care of my own health and wellbeing first. Every day

This was me last year. Then I decided to change jobs/careers and I’m much better. My previous job made me feel in adequate.

Learn this now, and prevent needing 6 months off of work to recover, like I needed. That was a dark time in my life. ❤

I just saw your other short that said depression was blaming yourself. I felt like ever since I reached out for professional help a couple years ago, I haven’t been truly depressed and stopped blaming myself. But then I wondered if I was lying to myself about still feeling low energy, exhausted, not sad. You reminded me about burnout something I struggle with often having PTSD and autism/adhd. AND fibromyalgia.

I think cynicism can be a remedy to burnout - its not about negative thinking, it's about doing away with the pretenses and artifice of modern life, and living closer to nature. Like giving the middle finger to bureaucracy and paperwork!

It’s not just experiencing it but really the fear left behind from it I struggle as well ;-; the pressure to keep yourself strong and intact whilst having to do the work. Really has garbaged my endurance and will power to go on for all the things I’ve needed. Still pushing through and trying to keep in the light though ✨🤞 Dr Tracey’s right, there are ways even through the struggle

Please share how to help. I can't excel the way in which I know I have to ability to because I feel I just can't do it all. I feel out of time and just mentally and emotionally drained. I took time off for the summer (partially) and rested more. It has helped.

My boss refuses to retire and he’s been burnt out for years. I wish a lot of these people would find a new identity. His whole life is work and he is terrified of facing reality. It has hurt me and my team immensely and management does nothing. His day will eventually come. I just have to ride the wave until then. Hang in there everyone.

What if a below average person like myself with an unpredictable modest and hand to mouth earnings(paycheque to paycheque), doesn’t have the financial flexibility, or stability to do something about “burn-out”. What if one cannot afford to be “burned out”.

How do you handle burnout in your home life? I have a disabled child and our marriage is struggling. I'm so over it a lot of the time, but I love them so much. I hate feeling this way
