Bought my 2018 iPad Pro at launch and it’s proved to be the best piece of tech I own. When school went online in 2020 it was super useful and I still use it for all my schoolwork 6 years later. Still runs like I just took it out of the box even on the latest iPadOS. I’ll definitely be holding onto it until it stops getting new software updates which will unfortunately most likely be soon.😢

yah try processing 32 tracks of 32 bit audio on a 2018 pro. No thanks. The value in M1 and M2 iPad Pro is near desktop level processing I.e. not freaking out when you push it. For some that old tech is fine but

Only reason not to buy this iPad in 2025 now, is because PadOs 18 will most likely be its last update, and will start to face system defects afterwards. But, if you’re looking to buy it for a kid or just temporarily, this is perfect.
