Fun fact, this originally started as a meme animation inspired by the Walter White memes but it quickly turned more serious than I originally intended.

"Did I ever tell you about the time I met a guy named Nick? He was very rude at the start, but over time he grew soft for our team. I miss him, even if he would cut me off during my stories"

Nick died knowing that he had achieved what no other could, successfully taking 3 AI teammates across the bridge

Nick died knowing that, not only he did his part and saved the only people that he could call friends in such awful times, but he managed to do the biggest clutch in the entire human history.

Fun fact: Both Bill and Nick shares the same slot as "default characters" when you start a game on a console command. For example, if you type a map command for Apartment (the first map of No Mercy campaign), you'll play automatically as Bill unless you change characters via cheats. Same goes for Nick if you enter a map command for Hotel from Dead Center.

Nick is a chad for using his last bit of humanity to fend off the infected while The rest escape.

It's just awesome how you presented Nick.

Despite him being a jerk and a gambler, he still joined the gang and grew comfortable with them to the point he could call 'em friends.

And in the end when he realised he's fucked, his selfishness just vanished. For once in his life he wanted to do something right. And he did it.

Seeing Nick lie down with the rest of the infected really makes me feel uneasy.

honestly, the concept of nick being the only one in the group not immune would be so much more impactful.
imagine through the first few chapters us getting to know and love nick, only to realize that he is infected and wont be allowed on the heli at the end.
talk about character development and a sacrifice to boot.

You can see Ellis is comforting Rochelle.

the fact Rochelle is holding back Ellis is very nice touch since yes Nick literally mock Ellis in anyway possible but deep inside he actually care for Ellis

A few hours later, we all know that nick will magically be stuck in one of the closests asking for help and the survivors are confused

I want this to be the ending of a zombie movie, where the main character is a dousche who slowly gets better and makes some good connections with the other survivors he's with but eventually near the end gets bitten and this is where he completes his character arc by doing everything in his power to get his friends to safety and fends off the last few zombies like a badass and peacefully dies a hero.

It's said the survivors are immune but imagine a plot twist revealing that Nick isn't immune and he was actually getting sicker and sicker as the campaign continues, until The Parish comes by where his sickness is finally taking him, so the rest of the gang wants to race against time to get to the military and get a possible cure, but it's too late, Nick decides he'd rather make sure they all survive and he leaves himself behind, despite it costing his life, for once he cares about others more than himself.. that'd be crazy and severely emotional.

And the map is literally called "The Parish"...

This ending fits Nick’s character. A scoundrel who decides to help the only friends he’s ever had in the end, by sacrificing himself for their safety.

It looked like he was trying to look back at his friends one last time before succumbing but couldn't, also if you notice, the last shot was a headshot on the tank, you can see the blood pool expand as the camera pans out. One hell of a kill to go out on

A "sacrifice" ending like LFD1 would have been great but this time with Nick as the one who canonically sacrificed himself, Bill did it because he was the oldest and had little left to live, Nick could have been his redemption after a lifetime of crimes.

That smile when he sees the bridge blow to smithereens. Luckily, he died so he wouldn't have to live the rest of his short life as a shambling feral infected.

I've always imagined nick having the 'bill role' and sacrificing himself
