There has been a lot of excitement around Wicked: a musical that was released in theaters last week. I have realized that a lot of people do not know the secret behind this movie, and it has to do with money. We are going to break it all down for you this week on Wolves and Finance.

Right-leaning audiences (even those who hate musicals), should pay close attention to what modern audiences are saying about Wicked. The author of the book, Gregory McGuire, said that he wrote the novel because he felt a jolt of anxiety when someone used H it ler to describe a person. He felt that the media could create an enemy out of anyone that higher powers didn't like (sound familiar?) In the musical, Elphaba is vilified by The Wizard, a powerful government ruler who controls the press, even though she's actually good. Also, the Wizard wants to spy on the people of Oz and censor talking Animals, all so he could remain in power. Sound. Familiar??

This is an important subject about the wizard of Oz. I never knew all those financial facts about the story and once you explained them it was so obvious that you are right. I've watched "the wizard of oz" annually because it used to be a Thanksgiving night special when i was a child on TV. Some of the ideas where obviously financial in it but please make this a serial special like a flash gordon epic revealing something every episode because this is vital information that most people just don't know about and you have an amazing perspective on the mature view of what the story is really trying to convey. Now i think i must read the story since the movie is so incomplete. Awesome work Zack.
