State Drops BOMBSHELL Confession! - But Is It Real? -- Lawyer LIVE

Richard Allen is accused of murdering two young teens, Abby Williams and Libby German, who were doing nothing other than going for a walk on an unseasonably warm February day in 2017. He claims he is being framed by Odinists, who are also his prison guards. His lawyers argue that Libby and Abby were killed in a ritualistic murder and Nordic runes were painted in blood on trees or arranged on the bodies of the young girls.

This court is embarrassing for the state of Indiana.

I can’t believe that psychologist didn’t lose her license and was allowed to testify! I’m an LCSW-R and that is absolutely against both of our code of ethics! That is MOT a gray area!

This doctor needs her license revoked and banned from writing a book and doing any interviews

What the judge said about the mic is so unsettling and weird

Ok so, I’m a medical provider in primary care. One day I saw a patient who was having shoulder pain. Never saw them before. Walked in introduced myself and asked what happened to the shoulder. They said I hit it against a wall when I tripped and it hurts. (Totally lucid). I asked some other questions and then asked what makes the pain worse, they said “when I was flying around the earth last night picking bombs off and saving the planet” made the pain worse. I was like…ok, we have some psychosis going on. The thing that struck me was how completely normal they were for the first few minutes. I would have never known if the visit ended after the first couple questions. There were times they made perfect sense and in the next breath they would say spiders were crawling on the walls. It was the strangest visit ever. So, I completely believe that one can appear normal and lucid in one moment and the next appear seriously psychotic and say things that are not true.

The treatment of Allen- gulty or not- represents an Eighth Ammendment violation. Cruel and Unusual Punishment.

Replay crew here. Just started, but the prosecutor and judge telling the witness not to talk in the microphone is just another thing that convinces me they don’t want the public to know what is happening in the court room. What are they trying to hide.

Judge Gull is an embarrassment to the court. Reversible error at every turn. I am undecided on Allan’s guilt but the public should be able to view this trial. Excellent reporting, as usual, Lawyer Lee! You are just fabulous!

I heard on the “Lawyer You Know” channel that there are a lot of his viewers asking for you to be a guest on his channel as a trusted and valued source attending the trial. I’d love to see you join him on this channel so others who have not been lucky enough to find your channel yet get to see how amazing you are! ❤ Thanks for all you do!

Courts should be required to allow audio for the audience and public.

I'm with everyone else. Everyone in the country should look at this case with a raised eyebrow, no matter the outcome. The State of Indiana deserves better. You have the power to hold people in office accountable. Use your voice at the ballot box. These brave young girls deserve to get it right, as does Richard Allen.

I'm a criminologist and psychologist trainee from Flanders, Belgium and thanks to you, dearest Lawyer Lee, I am able to follow this case. I have not enough words to describe how messy this all is... solitary confinement for such a long time is dehumanizing! Nothing he confessed should be admissible in court as he suffered at that time from the isolation plus he was in contact (with the guards 'odinists?', with fellow inmates, with a biased psychologist!) with others whom could have "feed" him certain details. As result of his disorientation, it became impossible to discern between what his own knowledge was and which details were brought in by others. The investigation as well as the trial seems very biased to me... the need to punish somewone has become more important than finding the truth...

Also. After investing more than $4 million in this case by the prosecution, why didn’t they do a $10, 000 height analysis? Why didn’t they test the hairs that were available? Seems to me that they didn’t want to find out the answers because they weren’t that sure of their case or the answers they would get.

I have a very slight form of BiPolar. Before we knew this I was given medication for ulcerative colitis at the hospital and it caused a serious psychotic episode. I started saying crazy things. I claimed my dad was trying to kill me. I told a woman whose daughter had died that her daughter came and visited me. (She still believes this is true because I was so convincing) I claimed I had been raped. I said I might hurt my newborn baby. I got hyper Religious. Many people believed me and couldn’t tell I was psychotic. Nothing I said had an ounce of truth but I sounded sincere and even intelligent. I believed everything I said when I said it even though it was all ridiculous. I ended up in a straight jacket in ICU. I had no prior history of psychosis just anxiety and a little depression before this incident.
Haldol was the drug they gave me to try and get me to stop screaming in the ICU.

Stress is a huge trigger for manic/psychotic episodes. So are many medications.
I have no idea if RA is guilty but mental breaks are real, false confessions and false accusations are very real, and if a person has any propensity to mental illness then stress can cause serious manic/psychotic events.
This whole case is heartbreaking 💔

The secrecy of this case is concerning. "I've represented thousands of criminals and I can count on one hand the number of monsters in human skin.I saw more monsters in that courtroom today than I ever saw in an orange jumpsuit and they had badges". Guilt or Innocence aside, Richard Allen was tortured for a year - and he was PRESUMED INNOCENT. Thank you for your great analysis Lawyer Lee!

Is it usual to put someone in solitary confinement when you haven't been convicted of a crime. And for a year. No wonder he was acting crazy. That would send anyone crazy.

The situation in the courtroom, the judge, the way the police treated him, the fact that he's treated as if he's guilty. There's something wrong over there. It would drive anybody crazy, in my opinion. The state should be transparent but they do anything to make it as uncomfortable as possible for the media to attend the trial. Thank you for your hard work. Great job. ❤ from Amsterdam

Don’t you think there is a common theme of deprivation running through this case? Depriving RA of the few comforts that he would have been allotted had he been held in jail while awaiting trial, depriving him of adequate mental health care when his started to deteriorate; denying his attorneys the ability to use third party culprits defense, denying them the ability to ask questions without objections which are sustained; and denying the public reasonable access including things like a system of getting into the court room without inflicting freezing out in the cold and being sleep deprived. Then when you do get into the court, denying letting witnesses use the microphone so that you can hear….. where will it end?
