I was bullied in high school too. It was by far the worst three years of my life. It certainly profoundly affected the way I developed as a person. After high school, I left the community I grew up in, and in sixty years I've never gone back.

People have to remember that bullying affects people in different ways. Just because one person can deal with bullying and overcome it, it doesn't necessarily mean that another person can.
