Identifying True Worship, Part 8: The Other Sheep doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses

The doctrine of the Other Sheep is unique to Jehovah's Witnesses. It affects the salvation hope of millions. But is it based on Scripture, or the invention of one man made 80 years ago? We will attempt to use the Bible to accurately answer that question.

This is the best video I've seen on this disturbing topic. I hate that the Org has blocked people from this beautiful custom. If we are in Christ, whether we hope for heaven or earthly paradise, we have partaken of his flesh and blood already, so why not the symbols themselves? It's similar to the blood issue in that sense. At any rate, I'm looking forward to your video about whether Christians go to heaven. This is a big one for me because it is about our hope, and it's difficult now to know what to hope for exactly. One scripture that seems to indicate that we do indeed go to heaven is 1 Peter 4:2 which says (sorry about using caps):
"As a result, he does not live THE REST OF HIS EARTHLY LIFE for evil human desires but rather for the will of God."

This seems to show that our earthly life will end but I do like the idea that we might live in new spirit bodies (similar to the one Jesus had after his resurrection) here on earth at least part of the time. Who knows? We just have to get there, I guess. I would like to hear your thoughts. Maybe you will include this point in your next video. Thank you.

Another excellent teaching video, Eric Wilson! You asked where the phrase "great crowd of other sheep" came from. I believe John chapter 10 and Revelation chapter 7 provide corresponding views of the Christian congregation, with Jesus explaining that the CC would be drawn from two sources (from natural Jews and from the Gentile nations) and John providing a modern day glimpse of the CC in action. Thus, John's Revelation "great crowd" and Jesus' "other sheep" both refer to non-Jewish Christians. Revelation 7:15 places the "great crowd" of other sheep in the divine habitation, the sanctuary of the spiritual temple, proving that they are spirit anointed with heavenly life in view. Thus, Jehovah's Witnesses are not teaching the good news which Jesus commissioned.

I’m embarrassed to admit 30+ years aJW I did not realize since I was a Bible reader b4 I studied w JW that accepting the JW interpretation eliminated my meditator ‼️ So from watching so called “ apostate” channels I learned MORE about JW religion than when I was IN THE RELIGION Thank you brother Eric for helping me back on the original road of CHRIST ❤️💙💜🙏

Unbelievable. I'm so glad you made videos. I read your site a lot but there's so much information it's hard to boil it down. This is what I have been thinking and saying for a couple years. I didn't even know others saw this. I did not gather by myself some of what you have explained but the picture is now clear. It's not just the other sheep thing it's the whole hope being skewed and the motivation for taking your faith seriously being robbed away as you are deemed a second class citizen. All your suffering and sacrifice becomes no different than that of a pagan and God is painted as callus and indifferent to it's great value. Amazing video and explanations a true godsend. Keep making We need them.

Excellent video Eric.. thought I would add this to your video and topic. ...In the book of Revelation, Christ said, 'Hold fast to what you have until I come."... ( Rev 2:25 ) .. Also see Rev 3:11. shows there would be no changes from the original teachings prior to Christ's return.

I appreciate your hard work on behalf of all of us; for YEARS I have questioned this ridiculous teaching. I invited people to the Kingdom Hall and watched them look totally confused, as we PASSED the bread and wine along - something NO other religion would even THINK of. Yet, we ALL benefit by Jesus' shed blood and the body he gave for obedient mankind! Then, I saw more and more people starting to partake! The numbers of partakers kept increasing, contrary to the teaching that it would be decreasing...The GB tried to reason it away like they do with the whole 1914 (ridiculous bullshit). Finally, I started to wonder, "Why CAN'T we partake?!" It says in Matthew 26 that the blood is for forgiveness of sins. It replaced the Passover. Either you were on God's side, putting blood on the doorposts, or you weren't. What was this weird "middle ground" crap, anyway? I have LONGED for this realization and this evidence. God is with you. (And he doesn't mind if I cuss, either:) Rutherford was a narcissist of epic proportions. What he taught, in my estimation, was to belittle and demean some, while exulting himself. He thought he was something. You are slowly undoing the harmful cult-like influence that dominated my life for too long.
