In this video, we'll give you an honest review of the Sygic App, a navigation and directions app that works in conjunction with the Ducati Connect app on the Multistrada V4 series of motorcycles.

I'll start by highlighting some of the benefits of the app, such as its real-time traffic updates, and intuitive interface. However, we also encountered some issues during our journey, including slow loading times, inaccurate directions, and occasional crashes.

Despite these drawbacks, we believe that the Sygic App can still be a useful tool for Ducati riders, especially those who frequently travel to new destinations. With the app, you can easily plan your route, and find points of interest along the way.

Overall, our review will give you a balanced perspective on the Sygic App's functionality, user experience, and value for money if you choose the premium version of Sygic. Whether you're a new or experienced rider, this review will help you decide if the Sygic App is the right navigation and directions app for you.

What has your experience been with the Sygic App for navigation?

Ducati can easily crush the competition by simply replacing Sygic with Apple Car Play/Android Auto. Honda has done it and everyone loves it. Honda isn't on top for nothing, they're on top because they listen to customers, and the Multistrada is successful because Ducati listened to customers.

Thanks mate for a great review and, more importantly, your exceptional honesty whilst reviewing the product!! You have way more patience than I ever would have with that product! I would have easily gone “ bugger this!!”and gone back to Waze!!

I foresee your channel becoming massive. Keep up the good work.

Agreed 100%, not purchasing due to the main reason for me to buy is the integration with maps and music. Too many issues with restrictions on popular apps for both music and maps.

Thanks Rembo and everyone else for their honesty regarding their experiences with this Sygic app.I am something of an I.T. Dinosaur so find it all so very frustrating. I can only hope that my V4s Rally is an improvement on the otherwise fabulous V4s. Thanks again, Top man.

Thank you sooo much for this! Just bought a V4 Pikes Peak and was considering using Sygic. Will definitely now stick to using Waze on my phone 😅

Sygic is a company based in Slovakia, Eastern Europe. I will use the Zumo xt2 on my Multi V4 Rally.

The best way I found to use Sygic was to plan the route on my phone. Start it. Then connect it to the bike. As long as I don’t disconnect it. It’s all good.
However I would rather use Waze as its battery consumption is much better. The cell phone storage also ruined my phone camera.
Not a good start for integrated navigation for ducati but I hope they can make some meaningful changes

Great point mate . Ducati need to listen. We should be able to use what GPS system we like using . I've just bought a garmin xt and fitted that . Sits really well on my p/p . Can't be doing with all the soding about. PLEASE LISTEN DUCATI . LET US USE WHAT WE LIKE USING . WELL SAID AND PUT ACROSS BREMBO !!

Good review. I use Sygic in my Campervan in the UK. I chose it because it uses offline mapping, and my Head-unit has wifi but not Mobile data. I agree with what you said about it. It quite often takes me off the main road onto a B road or unclassified road, some of which are very narrow and not ideal for a Campervan. Then a few miles further it takes me back onto the same main road !. As you say, there are lots of bells and whistles, but the basic navigation function is flawed.

Thank you. It seems, Sygic combined with Marine Corps land navigation training will get you from Pompano Beach to Austin.

I set up sygic when I bought my pikes peak but I’ve since deleted everything because I had the same problems as you rembo. I use Apple CarPlay in my vehicles and I’m very happy with it. I was hoping sygic would work as having the gps in the dash screen is amazing! I have since installed a zumo Xt for my navigation system.

Thank you Rembo so much for doing this review! Please send this video to Ducati so they can improve the system. I have a Multi V4S sport and I refuse to use this system as it’s so bad and unreliable! It’s the one thing that spoils my bike. I have another road trip to France coming up soon and it would have been the missing piece of the puzzle, but alas no… so my mate on his BMW will have to do the honours… keep up the great videos 😊

Great video as always 👍…was hoping you were going to say the App was fixed and working well 😂… It would be great if Ducati could sort this and the fuel gauge…my V4S shows 30 mile range remaining when there’s still 7 litre’s of fuel in the tank 👎

Great review Rembo…I have been using Sygic for the last 4 days with similar results/issues. My notes:
• Connectivity is spotty…several times I got the “check connection” error box.
• Drains the battery quickly and I also had to do the tethered connection to charge my iPhone 13 Pro Max (exactly the way you did).
• There doesn’t seem to be a way to plot a route and then ride that route (like REVER).
• I added location to “Favorites” and then toggled thru TFT/app to get to that location. I purposely rode off course to see if it adapted…it did, but only because I knew where I was at. Navigating that way, it never had that intuitive feeling…I felt like the Sygic app was behind in processing what I should do.
• The fact that you can’t access the iPhone app and have the TFT app work together is also lame. Having to use the MTS PP toggle is so slow and annoying.

Anyway, great review…let’s hope Ducati AND Sygic are seeing these critiques. This should be fixed asap. Especially since this is all we have to use without going through a separate device. Thanks bro!!!

*** I love my 2023 MTS PP….best bike I’ve ever owned. 🇮🇹👍

Thanks Rembo, I was going to try it out on a road trip and will avoid. +1 Apple Car Play

I've had several of the same issues and frustrations with Sygic. Didn't renew my premium and use my phone now with it mounted above the display.

Not just Sygic, if you have a comms system like Sena and connect through Ducati Connect, you loose functionality and it becomes inconsistent in terms of not being connected. This weekend I was not able to change Mesh Channel. It would be so much better to simply screen share and connect whatever your phone and then you have whatever systems you use.
