Thoreau's work opts for an aesthetic of simplicity that frees us from the unnecessary burdens imposed by modern life. It encourages us to decipher nature, to understand it's language.

For Thoreau, it is from the land where art should come, from walking and inhabiting it. And that is why for me it is so PURE and REAL to work with the clay, to receive it in my hands and for it to take me wherever I want.

When I draw the symbol of the house I inhabit the clay, each groove and tear in the porous surface of the ceramic is a way of breaking through and making that piece my home during that moment. Therefore, each piece is a piece of me.

I inhabit the mud, and afterwards, he welcomes me and inhabits me.
