Hello and thank you for your video help. I am now following your video series.

I know some very basic HTML and CSS. I can't build a very basic site but the DIV section is the most challenging. What I have noticed is that many VIDEOS tell you what and how but not really. I still feel like I don't have the end game accomplished which is to build a basic site. We should have a basic format that we beginners work from. After that we can learn and make MORE complex sites. We should be able to build a basic site with about 5 to 7 links and 5 to 7 pages.

Each link would have its own page and each page would be similar to the home page.


This way we would have a reference to work with as we build our next site. This is sorta why they moved from xhtml to html5.

So in short....all the video that I have watched so far give me more knowledge but basically leave me to figure out how to actually build the site.
I am suggesting that we have a basic model that we design together as a protect...afrer that we can grow to include the information to build more complicated and complex sites.

When you were talking about viewing the sorce code, you added a comment that we dont need that much code for a website. If we dont need it, why is it there? Why do so many websites have all that code?
