Ralphs Employee Suspended After Pepper-Spray Incident Over Face Mask

The employee pepper-sprayed a customer who rammed her with a shopping cart after asking him to wear a face covering or leave the store. DeMarco Morgan reports.

She is suspended for 5 days and I hope that is it. Yes she was a bit full-on in pepper spraying the guy but he also acted like a moron. I hope she gets to keep her least that guy won't act up in any other store from now on.

I hope that person gets a job at a store that appreciates their employees. Seems like any stores willing to put their employees at risk from raging anti-maskers wouldn't be a safe store for anybody to shop at.

Who should NOT use cloth face coverings: children under age 2, or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.

I’m with the employee. Honestly, I never thought I would say this: during the pandemic, these Grocery store employees are real heroes. It’s currently a very tough job & I appreciate all they do. I thank them every time I shop💯👍🏽

Naturally ralphs is going to suspend an employee. They don't want customers to feel safe while shopping there. ralphs want employees to just stand there and take being assaulted by customers. Like ralphs management would pay for the employee's medical costs after the reason why I don't shop at ralphs.

There you have it Ralph's Employees ... Do not expect your employer to have your back. Even if a customer physically assaults you, just stand there and take, because Ralph's will discipline you harshly for defending yourself. I bet it wold have gone down differently if a Manager or higher up had been rammed by a shopping cart. Just one MORE thing to add to the list of reasons NOT to shop at Ralph's stores.
