Rich people this, elite that. What about being able to just walk in the park without some homeless drunk or crackhead not trying to rob you? That's not elitism, that's just keeping a park clean for people to relax in.

Unhoused? Addicts, bums and other assorted low lifes is a more accurate description. You have to be vigilant and eradicate this filth at the start because one tent becomes 2, then 5, then 20 pretty quick...

people need to realize that the slogan "to protect and serve" only came out in the 1950s. And the reason that the slogan is not finished, is so people do not know it means to "protect and serve" the elite.

That's what happens when there's no control over the rentals, real estate, and the government allowed employers to pay peanuts as a minimum wage

Why don't those lovely protesters let these people stay at their place since they're so passionate about it? NIMBY, though, right?

How bout the people fighting the police take in the homeless?

This is so annoying. It's not like the police just walked in and started pepper spraying people indiscriminately for no reason. They were told to leave and didn't and refuses to listen to the police. People don't pay taxes for parks in order to house all the homeless people. It takes away from everyone else's enjoyment of the public parks. It's not meant for people to live and trash... I don't see anything wrong with this. They can go somewhere else.

The term is "homeless", not the patronizing "unhoused" which is more about making the affluent feel less guilty.

I can understand both the people there, and the police. I wouldn’t want my park filled with garbage and crap but I also think that people should have a place to stay for a while

how can you be evicted from land you don't own... I'm not against the homeless but at the same time other people have rights too. And for all the so called advocates unless your opening the doors of your own home to the house the homeless then stfu

The solution is easy, those woke activists can pay for their homes if they are concerned abt solving the problem.

I thought things like this wouldn't happen in Canada.🙄 Canadians criticize Americans and do the same things 😂

Of course homeless encampments mess up your plans, but where are they going to go? Do they think they will disappear if you move them from a public place?

They can't live in a park. Get real.
