Destiny 2 - How to get Telesto Catalyst Solo (Warlock, Updated Method 2020)

There are plenty of guides out there about how to get the Telesto catalyst solo from the ring chest. This uses a slightly different method, utilizing the new 'Heat Rises' perk added to top-tree Dawnblade in one of the last patches.

Overall it's a much easier and faster method since you don't have to wait around for your super in order to bridge the gaps between the platforms in the purple room. Heat Rises and the new double dodge allows you to easily get enough height and distance for all the jumps so hopefully by showing people this way of doing it, I can help you get your catalyst in a much easier way!

NOTE: With the launch of Beyond Light and Bungie being Bungie, they have sunset the Eater of Worlds raid, and as such, you can no longer acquire this catalyst as of right now. Sadly, unless they bring it back in a different way in the future anyone who didn't do this before Beyond Light launch won't be able to get it anymore.

I just now figured that it's probably way easier with heat rises and it totally is! all the areas I needed my super for now I just use heat rises and icarus dashes lol, was curious if someone had covered it

If your running top tree, you can pop your super in purple room and cover most of the room in one go, you can boost while using super, makes its super fast.

Thanks for the upload :) im going to try this next time im there with my guild. SO you just need to run through the 7 rings to spawn the chest right? Im sure my guildies wont mind a secret exotic engram while I try to get the catalyst :D

Can you grind for it or do you have to wait 1 week to open the exotic chest again

Can you only get drops out of this once a week? I have done it 3 times in a row and haven't been able to get it to say "Calus grants a gift" even after going through all 7 rings. The chest is there even after my first time through the rings when I only get 3 rings. If I open the chest then, I only get 1000 glimmer, but if I go through all 7 rings first, I still only get 1000 glimmer.
