I think the concept of the Midnight Library sounds good but I don't think Matt Haig is the best choice to execute the concept

I love how you aren't afraid to admit some books are too scientific. I feel the same way sometimes and I wondered if I was the only one 😂

Tha ks for the wrap up! My favorite book in Aug was The Bodyguard by Katherine Center. It was the book I needed at the time

I also didn't love The Midnight Library. You're not alone 😊

Pretty Girls is a great read but very dark and intense. I don’t think Karin Slaughter really has “tame” books IMO. Been meaning to get around to The Midnight Library, I think I’ve had it on my TBR for a couple years now. But my Libby hold for In My Dreams I Hold a Knife came in and I’m enjoying it so far!

My favorite August fiction reads were - The Force of Such Beauty by Bourland (surprised more people aren't talking about this one), Any Other Family by Brown and The Rule of Three by Scott.

Great reading month! I agreeI loved The Nothing Man and wanted to like Run Time but I was just unable to finish it. I loved Jar of Hearts and Creep by Jennifer Hillier.

I had such high hopes for Midnight Library and literally couldn’t get through even 3 chapters

My favorite book was Remarkably Bright Creatures. Midnight Library wasn’t a hit with me, either.
