Honda Accord Oil Pressure Switch Replacement How To

Quick video on how to replace the oil pressure switch on Honda Accord 3.0 V6. This was done on a 1999 but should be the same procedure for 1998-2002 Honda Accords, 1998-2003 Acura TL, 1999-2002 Honda Odyssey 3.5L, and 1999-2004 Acura MDX 3.5L. Great video on removing the Honda Accord oil pressure switch/sensor. I think this switch is only for Honda Accord 3.0 V6 engine, not for the 2.3L 4-cylinder engine.

Thank you for the video. I have a 99 LX and just finished replacing distributor cap and o ring, intake manifold gaskets with EGR. The other leak it’s coming from the oil pressure switch. That will get replaced tomorrow.

Hard to get to for a 1997 Honda accord at lease in my experience but did the trick

On the 4 cylinder 1998-2002 Honda Accord, I guess the OIL PRESSURE SWITCH is located just above the oil filter. Harder to get to, not like yours.

@BLUE COLLAR GARAGE did that fix your leak? If not I would suspect the oil pump gasket/screen. Pretty notorious on J-series so I hate to say it but may need to tear that timing back down again and drop the oil pan. Don't forget the little gasket for the pickup if you do this repair. :/

I’m going to do this and put in a new 15amp fuse on the drive side fuse box bcuz that also gives the trans some problem so i’ll give an update when i do this tomorrow if i can

Which one cause the oil pressure light to stay on dash?? The one you changed in video or green sensor in front of it?

My friend has a 2002 and it causes the transmission to be slipping. So if we replace this will it prevent the transmission from slipping?
