I haven’t really been staying in hotel rooms for a while and most were just little budget ones, it’s kind of fascinating seeing just how many convenient things a fancier room will provide, let alone the ones that are free to take with you

and if there are full size bath products please dont take those. they get refilled between guests. if you really want to take one home, just ask the front desk nicely. take home the bar soap tho. for those wondering what happens to those, they are put in a giant box to be shipped to a company that recycles them so they're not in the landfill. how they recycle them i dont know. my job also has a similar box for travel size soaps and such people leave behind.

I'm a housekeeper and I had to clean a room where the guests had to pay over $500 dollars worth of damages/stolen items. They took the coffee machine and light bulbs, ripped out the light strips above the bed and wardrobe, broke the fridge, and so much more 😅

Soap bars, travel size shampoo and conditioner are absolutely ok to take. We normally throw those out if they've been used or we save them in a recycling container to later on get shipped out to a soap recycling facility.

the plastic bags for laundry are the best. I always use those to keep my clothes separated as to being dirty so I can take them home to clean
