watching an AI avoid simple kill bricks and breaking doors with some animation and default dancing only to get flinged by a car is just… worth the time.

Everyone please stop asking for a tutorial. This is quite a simple thing to do that is well documented for roblox. If you guys wish to learn how to make pathfinding with obstacle avoidance, then I recommend checking out the official roblox tutorial on pathfinding:

Perfect ending. If you want advanced pathfinding you need to use pathfinding links, Costs, pathfinding modifiers and maybe animations.

This pathfinding is great for chase scenes where the player could place obstacles or shut doors behind them, etc.

Make it able to swerve, detect lines of fire, and duck into cover. Then give it the ability to hear. Then give it the ability to aim. Finally give it the ability to instil fear in all players. That'd be fun in an fps! (BTW, if it does aim, make it purposefully miss the first time you get out of cover, its more fair, or dont make them miss if you hate your players.)

I love the new modifiers. Now we just need Roblox to add truss support. (Oh and also the service accounting for max slope angle, collision groups, and also make it so it can return the closest position to the target position like it did before)

The door kicking animation needs to be faster because currently it looks kinda slow and weird, also if you do that the kick might look a bit more powerful so maybe instead of the door flinging open, the door gets kicked off the hinges

At first I was thinking about how cool it was that the AI could find the specific door required to path find between two separate spaces

Then I realized the way I was thinking this works is way too complicated and that you could easily just not separate the two spaces and instead have the AI react in a specific way whenever it gets close to a door it's about to walk through

Imagine playing Mimic and your hiding inside a room
Then the monster just proceeds to kick the door down and do a default dance when you get killed
