How to make Tesla Tower at home

Transmit Electricity wirelessly and surprise everyone. Make your own Tesla tower to transmit power wireless. The tower uses a tesla coil that is based on the concept of Electromagnetic force and resonance to transmit energy.

Please forgive my ignorance, I am new to science experiments: To make a true Tesla Tower (ie getting power from the ground) which part do I connect the copper tube that I hammer into the ground? The original coil wire, the secondary coil wire, the transistor...? Please advise. Thanks!

Good tech, have you thought of building a energy receiver that holds the bulb in a socket that can slide back and forth to show how far the bulb can get before the coil cannot power it. And maybe show us a way to ramp up the power output to make the distance greater.

If you could have the bulb constructed to the frequency of the tesla coil transmitter, so the bulb no longer has to be right beside the tesla coil to light it up, how far away could the bulb be and still be lighted up? I know it is not a strong battery powering the tesla coil, which would have impact on how far the wireless transmission would be effective in lighting up the bulb? So maybe a 1 foot, 2 feet or 5 feet, what?

I must see about making it. I studied Electrical Engineering Light Current once, in the 1980's. Here in South Africa they are having regular load shedding, being power cuts on purpose.
