Tesla's Tower of Free Energy. What Was It?

Brilliant inventor Nikola Tesla tried to build an ideal modern world at the very beginning of the 20th century. The scientist wanted to create a unique system capable of sending electricity all over the world without wires. To do this, in 1901, he began building one of his most ambitious projects – the Wardenclyffe Tower. His plans included building about 30 towers and installing them all over the world. Why didn't it work out in the end?

Tesla was a true genious. Trouble is that he lived about 100 years too soon.

Tesla never had an opportunity to use his tower because he couldn’t get the funding needed to finish it. To say it didn’t work is not accurate.

Problem is that corporations and oil companies would try to ban this

Exactly what I've been waiting for, energy solve many big problems of the world. And if we can achieve limitless energy, we will be able to stop the climate crisis

He wasn't looking to make money from the public with his electrical inventions. That's why he couldn't find investors.

It's so 😭 Tesla's big wireless electrical transmitter tower never worked. Imagine being able to keep our smartphones charged w/o worry, or electric cars even...or anything using power for that matter. Wall sockets, usb cords, power banks=obsolete. 🤔What would he think of Elon Musk using his name for The Tesla Cars I wonder.

The tunnels you claim are mysterious were a necessary part of the construction. You allude to the experiments of conducting electricity through the ground. Tesla himself in his autobiography never describes using the ionosphere as the medium. "Beneath the tower, a well-like shaft plunged 120 feet into the ground. Sixteen iron pipes were driven three hundred feet deeper so that currents could pass through them and seize hold of the earth. "In this system that I have invented, " Tesla explained, "it is necessary for the machine to get a grip of the earth, otherwise it cannot shake the earth. It has to have a grip... so that the whole of this globe can quiver.""

Why scientists are not trying to make it again in a huge scale. It is just amid in science projects. Scientists should work on it.

4:54, he still exists. We honor him in our naming of tech.
Just imagine showing tesla, the very phone I'm using now and it's ability to induction charge another device. 😊

A.C discovered and used by Tesla, nowadays is very useful in long distance electrical transmission with very small amount copper loss in resistance if transformer is properly designed.I used to measure magnetic field intensity in Tesla unit. 😊 😊 ❤

Tesla’s tower would’ve been a global climatological nightmare. Energizing the Earth’s atmosphere would cause storms of biblical proportions all over the world.

You could get from London to New York in under 3 hours back in the 90s. Turns out people preferred comfort and price over speed.
