Doctors in Mumbai have begun protests over the rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College. The Maharashtra Association Of Medical Resident Doctors announced the protest at Mumbai's Azad Maidan in response to the incident as Indian Medical Association declared a 24 hour nationwide closure of non-emergency services from 6 am on August 17
