I don't think you first redesign really works well. Yes the G is more readable, but it completely loses the fun the original has.

Delivery Pro is really nice, doesn't look to close to the older Patreon logo despite the similar shape, so it's cool.

Super Science, I don't feel like the logo is very enticing for children and the font choice is not very fitting imo.

This is obviously subjective, and only my own perspective on it

I don't feel the redesign of the gadget logo, seem a bit pointless to do, the feed back was appreciated but the execution of the redesign, in my opinion, was lacking. Would be nice to see more time spent on the gadget as it definitely needs more time yo elaborate on the initial feedback. I also find the original icon fine as it doesn't need to look exactly like a G unless the client pointed out that he wanted a G.

I dont know what to say but I much preefr the redesign of my Super science logo so thank you. I guess anyone can ask me anything about it.

I have to say... i personally am not a fan of the logos that are just some letters... of course together with the text they look awesome, but alone? I think then it becomes so... same-y... your Super Science logo for example looked sooo nice! with and without text. and even the argument that the fancy letter logos work good with apps... but i already have so many app icons with just letters... i dont need to be able to spell a text on my phone home screen 🤔so I found for example the original Gadget n Gadget logo much more fun and apealing to look at

The guy said he prefered being practical over creative but there was litterly so little creativity in those logos that they all were already existing logos. Respect for calling yourself out but the only logo you designed that I thought was better than the original is the DNA one.

To make the Delivery Pro logo more unique, you could also consider integrating elements that suggest delivery. Like a map marker, or an arrow shape going through the design somewhere.

It’s so cool seeing how graphic designers defy the “hourly pay” system with such creativity as the type shown in this video. We are able to make people pay for ideas they wouldn’t find otherwise, and we can come up with things in such a small amount of time (10 MINUTES… WHAT?!).

PRO TIP
in the first logo example ::there is a better way than just using the color as the background, to deceive the eye that the cutting thing happened.
Rather, you could just hold the ALT key while using the pathfinder tool, which will make it still editable.

personally i dont really like the new delivery pro logo design coz the logo on its own, without the text, doesnt have any elements that suggests it is a delivery company. personally i would have associated the new logo to some print company had i not known the context

the square on the original logo kinda looked like a delivery carton so it was more appealing to me

In your defence Will, the stroke setup you have of the DP logo is different enough from the DisplayPort logo at least. It's got a 60's 70's graphic arts feel though, so could have a sibling from further back then.

I kinda liked the original Gadget and Gadget logo better because the circle looked like a home button

for G, some robot like extensions can be added like reddit, some antenna, ears and other electronic sensors
for DP, some car wheels/flight like amazon can also be added
for 3rd one, the flower can be made by the DNA's
