I saw your TED talk...you nailed the issues with science education. I love teaching science and I try to tell lots of stories and show videos and blow stuff up (or at least set things on fire). I will use these videos from time to time. Its great work.

i love this website keep this stufff going and expanding not only for general chem but i would love to use it for chem 2 and organic. my suggestion would be to figure out a way to answer a students question very quickly. I always hated how i would ask a question on youtube and get a reply maybe a day two days or a week after. Quick replies would help everyone tremendously. or maybe some type of 24hr chatroom that people could use to ask questions whenever they want

I'm a chemistry teacher and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your videos. For the last few years, I have been recommending your videos for absent students and as a general review (funding cuts for Chemistry tutoring). We teach almost exactly the same way and the consistency is a big help to my students (and hard to find in Chemistry education).
I can't wait to see quantum mechanics and electron configuration videos eventually.
Hopefully youtube will allow you to organize your videos according to topic soon.

videos about decoding the language used in exams/tests... i find the wording cryptic and if a Q is worth 5 points, I don't want to spend 5 minutes reading, then re-reading the question...I want to learn how to quickly draw the info from the question and answer without hesitation... I find your videos do assist in that regard :)

I have an A in chemistry thanks to you! Your teaching style is easy to understand and that makes it easier to learn!

I love your chemistry videos because you always draw what is going on and try to relate it in real life. ^_^

when I don't understand a certain topic in chem, I go to youtube and write something like "avogadro's law tyler dewitt" or "isotopes tyler dewitt" haha !

I'm back in chemistry, I dropped the class twice because I kept getting overwhelmed. You have made it so clear to understand I have told most of my classmates!

I think the main points are the ones that I also found the Khan Academy videos:
1. Simple language - not mixing a bunch of jargon but concentrating on getting the intuitive idea
2. Answering questions that we might have on your own without us needing to ask
3. Story telling

For me the most important of all is the simple language. If I want to learn about double bonding of atoms, I don't want the teacher to assume that I know all the rest. Instead I want the teacher to replace all technical words with "things" and use the technial term only to decsribe the 1-2 things that the video is supposed to cover.

We don't have it optimized for Google yet. Just type vespr.org into the web address.

Tyler, I cannot find the site vespr.org, it always sends me somewhere else.

Tyler, you have become my co-teacher, as I use your videos in our class. By the way the students call you the Lemona Guy, because of the Isotopes video you did.
I've tried to log in to vespr.org and it redirects to Socratic.org where i also found you. Is this the site you suggested us to look for?
(keep the hard work as you have become part of our lives)
