On a recent 2300 mile roadtrip HW3 FSD 12.5.4 did fantastic. I estimate I drove at most 20 mins. I drove in most parking lots. I did not touch the steering wheel for hours. FSD 12.5.4.1 however is a regression. I am eager for 12.5.6. I could even be happy with 12.5.4 again.

You are the master of these fsd videos, I now agree

Mine is acting super good. Like a person with only minor issues, like not wanting to move from the passing lane to the driving lane. It fights me by just repeatedly shutting off the turning signal. I hate that. It won't move out of driving lane on the highway when there is a policeman pulled over on the shoulder. It's the law here in Utah. So I just do it myself. Tomorrow I'm driving from Utah to Des plaines Illinois. Near your favorite roundabout. Goodnight😊. I still like and appreciate your videos. I've learned a couple things.

Tried FSD yesterday driving from Charleston SC to Jacksonville FL. I was nervous AF. But overall the my MYLR did well. I haven't tried ASS yet though.

Wow, great FSD drive and A.S.S. My ‘24 model Y w/ HW4 on current FSD software also has trouble with sunrise and asks me to take over, but i hope 12.5.6 fixes that, among other things

4:20 this has been happening to me a lot in the last week. The car has been phantom braking which it has never really done before. I have AI3 with FSD 12.5.4.1.

FSD is kind of like democracy: FSD is the worst driver on the road, except for all the others. Human drivers are erratic, unreliable and inattentive. Waymo only covers a few tiny areas and is only available in taxis. BlueCruise is supposed to work fine on highways, but if your highway isn't covered on their maps, or if you need to head into the city, it doesn't work. Other ADAS systems are on par with BlueCruise or even more limited. FSD isn't perfect, but it's versatile: it's usable in many more situations than any other ADAS. That's why it's the best.

Excellent video - you’re like the Mr Rogers of FSD in this video lol 😊 I even expected to see a trolley cross paths at some point 😂

My V12.5.4.1 has horrible phantom braking and freaks out in traffic circles now. Previously I had 12.3.6 and it was 5x better.

Now when it's about 1000x that consistent and across a WIDE variety of road types, traffic types, weather types, etc, it will be feasible for being certified for robo-taxis.

Lots of progress the past several years, but LOTS of improvement re consistency and fixing issues still needed.

And I say this as a patient TSLA long.

It’s incredible for me because I am doing this on my used cars that I bought.
Having waited till now to get a Tesla, when they just became affordable, it’s amazing to be a part of the state of the art excitement, while saving money, on a used vehicle.

12.5.4.1 HW3 - rural community, runs red lights, clips curds, can not handle community gates, speed bumps, parking doesn’t work, slow speeds

the tech is cool, but i've found it more stressful babysitting it than just driving myself.

The latest revision of FSD is full of bugs. Not sure who is doing the QC at Tesla, but it failed 6 times yesterday in a 10 mile city drive. It missed 4 exits off the interstate. One would have caused an accident if I wasn’t “Supervising “. Also would have ruined my windshield by hitting a parking lot crossing around. Elon needs to quit campaigning and take control, of this mess.

Same version-generally AB 0 intervention drives. Occasional navigation issue or lane choice.

Nice one -- did you keep the mirrors folded on the return trip? I really wish ASS would not auto-fold the mirrors... hazards are fine though. Keep up the awesome testing scenarios! 👍
