🤬I honestly don't have the words to accurately describe my utter disappointment and downright OUTRAGE at the BS presented in this film. Another food documentary based on "opinion" and not on the truthful and accurate presentation of scientific research and data ... WHAT A SHOCK!

This is not so much about being VEGAN, or paleo or keto or whatever you want to be. It's about having a moral and professional responsibility to present FACTS and evidence based research that accurately represents both sides of what is being discussed. TWO THUMBS DOWN!!! 👎🏻👎🏻

I am really disappointed in this video and it also made me angry somehow. I totally agree with you that Game Changers did not present scientific facts in the way it should be done. I’m a scientist myself (and also an athlete) and I often notice in documentaries, news, films etc. that scientific studies are not presented correctly. It’s more about the story and summarizing information. Like, for example, the experiments in Game Changers were obviously not (controlled) experiments. And yes, some claims were overstated and they did not present all the information and evidence that’s out there. BUT: you did the same in your video! You said: “Don’t take your beliefs and opinions and promote it without presenting actual facts” (30:25) Well, that’s exactly what you did here. Reading the title “The Game Changers is WRONG …”, I expected to hear evidence from well-done scientific studies that contradict what they tell in Game Changers. However, you don't do that and I found none of your points convincing. Basically all you do is question everything and raising concerns. There’s nothing wrong with being sceptical and wanting evidence, from both sides, but don’t say that they are wrong without providing evidence yourself.
For me, Game Changers, is not perfect from a scientific viewpoint and it’s more about telling a story and arousing interest. But that’s totally ok because a lot of people start thinking and talking about it and looking for more information on the topic.

I beat cancer early last year. I was what I thought was a conscientious eater. When I got about two months past surgery and treatment, I asked my surgeon, based on the fact that I still have some microscopic cancer left, what I need to do to reduce my chance of occurence. ONLY the plant-based route has been proven to reduce most cancer recurrence into SINGLE DIGIT probability. The studies in the last two years from the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, MD Anderson other prominent medical centers prove this. I'm not an elite athlete. Do I run marathons? Yes. And in the last 12 months as a vegetarian since July 2018, have finished in major Boston qualifiers in the top 100, taken my mile pace into the 7-8 minute range and recently finished in the TOP 5 in a 10 mile race. My BMI is down by more than 10%. My cholesterol has gone from 206 as a meat eater to 139 on a plant based diet. I am 54 years old. So, I have no ability to burn fat and calories like that of a 20 something. Diabetics are completely off insulin just over 30 days after going on a plant-based diet based on studies by noted physician Dr. Michael Greger and noted author of "How Not To Die." People in certain regions of South Africa have NO incidence rate of heart disease. Why? They don't eat meat. So, see through this woman's sarcastic attitude (and maybe tie to the American Beef Council). If you like her "opinion" then enjoy your bloated chicken breast, corn-fed beef and any other recycled protein that you can put in your mouth. Good bye, Critical Bench, I'm pulling my subscription. I suggest you stay out of an arena of which you know NOTHING about or you will lose more followers.

I have been an avid follower for years but this video was very disappointing. I am not only a retired collegiate athlete but now as a vegan/plegan. You guys provide some amazing information weekly but this right here was a loss to me. Very disappointed for your lack of research for this video. All of this is based on here say(bro science).

The lack of citation for your counter-arguments is disappointing. This comes across as uneducated and dogmatic. You have a title of "nutritional specialist" but I would like to know what your qualifications are to be speaking without showing your evidence. The idea that you cant gain 25kg of weight on a vegan diet is so odd to me because it's a basic nutritional concept that weight gain is entirely based on caloric intake. It does not matter the source of the calories. As far as the body builder is concerned, he has been vegetarian from birth and went 100% vegan when he started training in body building. I'm not sure if you actually watched the movie with an open mind or if you were just thinking over the film and missing most of it?

What diet is better for your heart arteries? Have you seen “What the Health.” Plant protein does not place the burden on kidneys or lead to Cancers.

To add weight on plant base diet is extremely easy.
I was once vegan for two years and I had to cut down on my consumption.

Hi Tonya, I'm also a Roman History buff but while I support a LOT of your argument remember that Romans bet on these gladiators in the ring. The owners would have made sure that their training and diet would have been as superior as the horses they had in the chariot races. For the same reason. Money. Now, from my research, the Romans were no slouches when it came to moving commodities from one end of the Empire to the other. The animals in the Colosseum came all over the known world. Investing in theses fighters would have made them expensive assets. Not everyone had one. Local produce not withstanding, if I owned a gladiator, I would have wanted an 'edge' in the ring. Imagine if steroids were available at the time! That aside. I don't think geography would have had a big bearing on diet.

The vegan echo chamber is strong with this "documentary" one of the producers owns a pea protein company or some shit, that's not a conflict of interest.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. You provided a very constructive review. I saw the movie and I viewed it as entertainment. There were alot of professional athletes and celebrities with little to no scientific evidence so it was hard to view as a documentary to persuade a lifestyle change. Keep sharing. Cheers!

I completely agree with everything u said. I watched some of this documentary last night & frankly I am having a hard time getting through it cuz it’s so bias. Rogan had Chris Kressier on the other day debunking it, if u haven’t checked it out u should, they make many great points including how they failed to mention that Conner McGregor fought Nate Diaz again & won. I’m shocked that Arnold Schwarzenegger would even put his name behind this. Is he now a vegan? Sounds like he has been pussy whipped by a vegan, lol. Great video 👍🏻

The Game Changers is não a vegan promotion documentary, its a plant based diet promoting documentary. It's a very good documentary, because the more People eat plants the best for the environment, and the animal.
Being a carnivore is being selfish, and heartless eating animals is unsustainable.
This is what you need to start talking on your channel, and woring about this matter that is affecting all of us and the future of our kids.
Also the animals don't need to suffer just for our convenience when is not necessary.

You are giving the impression that plant based foods are essential. These foods are carbs. There is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. Where is the science based evidence that carbs are essential? Otherwise, great job on the presentation.

I have to agree. If you want to adopt a vegan lifestyle, do the research first, and don't do it for health reasons, because it's not healthy. Just check your teeth. We humans have 'eye' teeth that are designed to eat meat. Vegetarianism s a different matter; the 'protein problem' can be easily addressed by eating eggs and dairy.

Common sense and decades of strength and conditioning success in sport do not need studies to make thier point. It has been proven on the field as opposed to flawed studies and cherry picked athletes.
