my favorite songs from the 1980s

My top 100 favorite songs from the 1980s, pretty self explanatory. I’ll be doing this for every decade from the 1980s to the 2020s then I’ll update my all-time top 100 list.

Also these new visuals aren’t permanent, I just wanted to do something different for these favorites videos. Release dates are based off of when the song was released as a single, with the exception of “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out” by The Smiths as that was released as a single over half a decade later in the 90s and that would feel weird to put in that video instead. If a song didn’t get a single release then it will be the albums release date instead.

The fact you put Charlotte Sometimes on this list makes me so happy. The song was never an official release, I don't remember why right now, but it's by far one of their best songs. It's just so ethereal and encapsulating, it's beautiful.

I will never get people that claim a best era of music as thats not really something you can describe but the 80s certainly has the largest amount of songs that are just fun.
