NOTE: It APPEARS that Jeff Bezos will NOT take this to the Supreme Court, though that option is open to him.
BREAKING NEWS!!! Blue Origin loses in Federal Court. Their one bright spot seems to be New Shepard, and they are certainly taking advantage of that monopoly!

I was in town for the crew-3 launch over the weekend (rip vacation), anyways, drove by Blue Origin on Saturday around 7pm, they were COMPLETELY lights out. Not a soul moving or working, empty parking lots. So much for “break neck pace”

The funny thing is: the more time Bezos spends in the Courtroom, the more Time SpaceX has to work on Starship and prove to NASA that their system is relieable, safe and the best option! Sure, Blue COULD get the Lunar Landing contract, but in the end SpaceX still wins because they have the better system!

Watching that footage of Shatner trying to express his feelings while the souless ghouls around him howled and whooped was so depressing. There was a point when he realised Bezos had no interest in listening to him and, like the old pro he is, he switched to performance mode, hamming it up for the camera. It was so obvious he was only there for promotional purposes and Bezos couldn't bear to share any limelight, what a complete sociopath.

Key difference in space tourism: SpaceX’s F9 Dragon had primary purpose (to carry human, cargo, satellites to earth orbit) with orbital space tourism being a side effect. BO’s suborbital New Shepard has no discernible primary purpose, with suborbital tourism seemingly being the main reason for existence.

The Blue Origin rocket has a distinctive look that reminds of what I think of Jeff Bezos

Everything hinges on how soon FAA lets SpaceX unleash the full Starship stack. It's hard to type with all my fingers crossed.

I gave up on BO a couple of yrs. ago. I think that smarter folks than me have also given up on BO. New Glenn isn’t going anywhere.

28 million dollars for a less than 10 minute ride, is pure greed, and wastage.

BO couldn’t even be bothered to hire a heap of ‘workers’ for the day of the shoot. That factory looked like the weekend after Christmas it was so empty.

BO only has a monopoly on suborbital tourism until VG get their ship flying again. And if the price is really so high for New Shepard then the people who can afford it are likely to fly Dragon instead. I don't see much of a market for Jeff's fairground rocket.

Hah. I was born the same year as NASA. I grew up watching every Mercury, Gemini and Apollo flight, watched the moon landing live, knew the names of every astronaut. And I saw every episode of the original Star Trek as they appeared, then later saw Shatner, Nimoy and the others at the earliest Star Trek conventions. Never, never in my wildest imagination would I have guessed that in 2021 we would be in this state, not having returned to the moon, and having space flight in the hands of private companies. Strange world…

Dammit Angry. Once again you took my “Yay! Blue lost! It’s over!” and dashed it upon the Supreme Court steps. Grrrr.

$28M for a ride on New Shepherd? I doubt such a figure is true. If it is then it's fine if someone is prepared or has paid it. Free world and all that.

Given on the cost per flight from Sue origin one could almost build their own rocket for the price.

They took William Shatner in to near space, not orbit. You can't lawsuit yourself to orbit so unlikely they will ever achieve orbit. What a joke!
